Rauw Alejandro

Raul Alejandro Ruiz Ocasio-Ruiz born on 10 January 1993, is a Puerto Rican singer/songwriter. He is known as "the King of the New Reggaeton"[2][3] and belongs to "the new generation" of Puerto Rican urban artists. His debut album Afrodisiaco was released in November 2020. Vice Versa is his second studio album was released in June of 2021. It featured the title track "Todo de Ti". Two Latin Grammy Awards have been taken home by him from 12 nominations. Raul Alejandro Ruiz was born on the 10th of January 1993, in San Juan, Puerto Rico and was raised in Canovanas and Carolina. His father and guitarist Raul Ocasio Ruiz, as well as his mother Maria Nelly Ruiz (backing vocalist) gave him a wide range of his musical heroes like Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley as well as Chris Brown. 6 For a number of years, Alejandro and his father resided in the mainland United States, mainly Miami and New York City, where he was influenced by the R&B and dancehall genres. 7] 8 Alejandro and fellow Puerto Rican rapper Anuel AA were childhood pals; they both went to the same high school and shared classes together. He moved to Orlando, Florida to attempt to be scouted for a spot in the Premier Development League (PDL), but eventually was unsuccessful. Rauw Alejandro's style of music consists of Latin R&B, reggaeton, ballsads and rhythmic pop. Billboard stated that his music has "set his music distinct" from the growing number of Reggaetoneros with a pop-leaning.
