Sofia Pernas was born in Morocco. She moved to California at age five. She was raised mainly within Orange County. She received her graduation in the University of California, San Diego in the year 2015. This was when she also got her first big break as an actor. Pernas made minor appearances in NCIS and Leverage and Leverage, however she got the part as Marisa in The Young and the Restless. It was her turn to play Catalina on Jane the Virgin after she was let go of the soap. The actress who is multi-lingual has appeared in The Brave, The Green Ghost as well as Secret Society of Second Born Royals. On Blood & Treasure, from 2019 until 2020 she portrayed Lexi Vaziri. Us Weekly announced in May 20th that Pernas was dating Justin Hartley who was her character for The Young and the Restless. This relationship began in May of 2020, after Pernas divorced from her spouse Chrishell Stause. Pernas Hartley was married in secret with Pernas in the month of May 2021.
