Simone Biles

Simone Biles, American gymnast (born 14 March 1997 in Columbus Ohio U.S.) is considered to be the best athlete in sport. Being the only U.S. female gymnast, Biles was the sole gymnast who won four gold medals in the same Games during the 2016 Olympics. Biles is the only person to have three consecutive world championships. Biles was raised at Spring Texas in the Houston metro area, where she and her sister Adria were adopted by their grandparents Ronald and Nellie Biles. Simone was introduced to gymnastics by her daycare teacher Aimee Borman when she was 6 years old. Biles stayed with Bannon's Gymnastix for 11 years. Biles won a gold in floor exercise and a bronze in vault at the Women's Junior Olympic National Championships in 2010, before advancing to the elite level of competition in 2011. Within two years she had dominated this event. Biles stood out for her consistent performance, exuberant personality as well as the difficulty of her routines across each of the four events including vaulting, uneven bars, and the balance beam.
